This describes the features in the current version of Dragon Field Notes.
Reading progress on your device
Your selected reading level is stored in your browser’s local storage under wing-scale-reading-level. It is used to keep the same spoiler setting across pages. We do not send it to an account or a database.
Searches and quiz answers
Directory filtering and quiz scoring run in your browser. A search entered on the home page appears in the directory URL; URLs may be retained by your browser or hosting logs. Quiz answers are held in the current tab and are not submitted to a server.
Correction reports
The correction tool creates a local text draft. Copying or downloading it is an explicit action. It does not submit the report to us. If you separately email a report, your email provider handles that message.
Hosting and external services
The hosting provider may process routine request information, including IP addresses and URLs. This version loads typography from Google Fonts, which receives the associated font requests. External reference links take you to sites with their own policies.
Google Analytics
On the production site, Google Analytics loads automatically when you visit a page. There is no analytics consent prompt. Local and branch previews do not run analytics.
Google Analytics uses cookies to measure page visits and sessions. Google processes technical request information, including your IP address. We remove query strings and fragments from the page and referring addresses supplied to analytics. We do not send reading levels, quiz answers, search terms or correction drafts as events. Site code disables Google Signals and advertising personalization.
The site no longer reads or writes the previous analytics-choice setting. Reading-progress storage is separate and remains unchanged.
