Identification
Codagh is a black swordtail bonded to General Augustine Melgren. The swordtail separates his physical description from Tairn’s morningstartail even though both belong to the black den.

Size and experience
The reviewed guides describe Codagh as larger than Tairn and emphasize his battle-scarred wings. This supports a relative comparison, but does not supply a dependable height or wingspan chart.

Dragon and general
Codagh’s rider is associated with battle-outcome foresight. That is Melgren’s signet, not a general trait of black dragons. Codagh’s position among dragons and Melgren’s military command are separate kinds of authority.
