A different green silhouette
Teine is a green clubtail bonded to Mira Sorrengail. The rounded club form distinguishes him from Feirge, another green dragon whose tail is dagger-shaped.

Protection before battle
Teine’s scales are used in the protective vest Mira gives Violet. This makes his connection to the Sorrengail family relevant even when he is not the focus of a scene.

Mira’s defensive power
Mira’s shielding is associated with strengthening and extending wards. The ability belongs to Mira’s bond with Teine, rather than to green coloring alone; the tail description tells a reader about Teine’s body, not her signet.
